🏫 About Our Campus

A School with History and Heart

Benito Juarez Elementary was built in 1961 and dedicated in 1962. Today, our campus reflects decades of community pride and care. Recent landscaping and ADA upgrades have made our school beautiful and accessible.

Students take pride in their surroundings and help keep our campus clean and welcoming. Our auditorium features brand-new curtains and a refinished stage, with blackout curtains coming soon. The school enjoys central air conditioning, and our buildings were recently repainted in calming, natural tones.

Thanks to a joint-use agreement with the City of San Diego, our turfed athletic field is open to the community after school hours.

🛡️ Safety & Maintenance

A Safe, Secure Learning Environment

Safety is a top priority at Juarez. Once the school day begins, perimeter gates are locked and reopened at dismissal. All classrooms have emergency walkie-talkies, and a new phone system was installed to improve communication.

We’re proud to partner with Rady Children’s Hospital and the County of San Diego through the Safe Routes to School program, promoting safe travel for students and families.

Our full-time maintenance team keeps the campus clean and well cared for. Recent upgrades include modernized restrooms and new drinking fountains. A vibrant, student-maintained vegetable and flower garden greets visitors.
